OK I know I'm not being unreasonable. He'll be 3 on his birthday and he would absolutely love it.

I don't have a problem with boys playing with supposedly girl toys, but DH is being a bit "hmmm" about it.

Just wondered if many other parents have bought / would buy a doll for their son?

We bought DS1 a baby boy doll when his little bro was born, it was great! He changed its nappy etc when I did DS2 - he never showed any jealousy of DS2 - eventually stopped playing with it ( but i kept it Blush)

I have dolls, stroller, oven and kitchen set, dog on wheels, building blocks, dressing up clothes, rocket, musical instruments - all for visiting boys and girls, adults have been known to play with my toys too :)

I work with children and have seen every boy I have worked with play with dolls at some point. I have also seen boys with their own dolls and buggies. My husband had 1 when he was little called Amy.

Ds (15 months) loves his big sisters dolls, have no problem with him playing with the kitchen, pushchair etc either, but it is mostly in red and blue as too much pink makes my eyes itch!
The dds both play with the cars, trains and trucks too.

Have enough to get done in a day without worrying about enforcing gender stereotypes on the dc too!

Friends ds loves coming to play at our house as he gets to play with the "girly" toys as his dad doesn't let him have them at home Sad.
