I have a job interview tomorrow (and Tues and Weds) and I am dreading it.
AIBU to hide in a cupboard until Wednesday evening?

I have an interview tomorrow too and am also dreading it. How big is this cupboard and does it have a bar?

A three day interview?! Or 3 different interviews over 3 days?

Do you feel like you've prepared enough, anticipated what they might ask and thought out your replies? A bit of nerves can be helpful sometimes to keep you sharp and thinking quickly. Or you could just go with the old adage and picture them all naked! Wink

I'm sure you'll do just fine, good luck!

Dreading it or dreading them?!

Well, if you don't go I'll go instead, feel like a new job. But it's got to be 4 hours a day and no more than half a mile from my house. Fussy, moi?!

Good luck [griin]

Could you get your partner or a close friend to give you a practice interview?

sparklingchampagne · 27/03/2011 20:03

I felt all prepared on Friday but now I don't (bites nails)
And most importantly I don't know what to wear panic!

The very basic and easy format is this
PMCC
Probe- when they ask you a Q, probe exactly what they mean, so if they ask you "How will you meet our clients expectations?"- you should then ask them what the current expectations are and find out exactly what they mean then you can

Match give a very precise matching answer that has real and specific examples that shows you have listened to the question. Keep it short, then you can

Confirm just as you finish your answer, check that your have answered fully, say something like "is that enough information for you, would you like me to go on?"

Close this is at the very end of the Interview- you have an opportunity to really sell yourself. A very short why I want this job, why I am the best for this job" couple of sentences here, ask when you will get feedback, if there is anything you could be doing in the mean time, and then of course shake hands, thank them for their time.

make sure you are listening, make sure recall and rephrase things they are telling you in the interview, mirror them. be specific, sell your skills and make sure they fit the job description.

What is the job?
