To love Ikea blue bags

Just for fun, I absolutely love the big blue ikea bags. I use them for laundry, food shopping and gardening to name a few things.

What do you use yours for?

Mine are being used to store fabric and cushions, I need more.

If you are going on holiday (or posh camping) they are officially the only way to transport a double duvet and pillows.

Recycling, laundry, car covers for when it's frosty, also fabulous for getting changed in at the beach.

(Ok, I'm lying)

red and white starry bags are 10p at the moment when you
scan them through. I bought 30 last weekend!!

I got a great MN tip once about using them for holidays. So now, the car boot gets fillled with Ikea and Carrefour bags full of clothes, food etc etc. You can squidge them in. Much better than suitcases, but maybe not so classy Grin

I also love them especially the small ones, they are the right size to hang on your shoulder - so many other re-usable bags from supermarkets assume that you are happy to hold them in your hand which is not always the case.

Does anybody else miss the 'big' size - as opposed to the ordinary ones and the small ones? they were square-ish rather than regular/small shape and the perfect size to stick a couple of book bags and lunch bags in when needing to take assorted gubbins into school in the morning, long handles so you can stick on your shoulder when needing to keep close hold of tearaway 2 year old and not so big as the ordinary ones which can be a bit big (and with a big opening where things can easily fall out in these circumstances or worse, keep knocking over the aforementioned tearaway 2 year old).

I tried to stock up on some more only to discover they had been discontinued Sad

they do do some a similar sort of size in different colours and with a zip on elsewhere in the shop but they seem a bit naff (funny flowers, stripes or tartan).

unlike the red starry ones (yup, also got a couple of those, very useful as christmas central for sorting out presents pre-wrapping and then for taking out to deliver) and last year's red with a single heart one. or the summer ones in lime green/white Blush yep got all of them and a fully paid up member of the old ikea bag fan club (does that make me a sad old bag?)! I use mine for trips to the dry cleaner and also trips to the "recycling centre". If I have a lot of paperwork to shred, they're great for holding it all.

I bought a few on my last trip to Ikea, but seem to have lost all but one. I suspect that family members may have appropriated them when I used them to transport something to their house.
