Hi, longtime lurker here. I was a F/T working mother but recently became carer for family member, as well as F/T SAHM.

I have since discovered MN, and have been addicted to reading the forums here. (Particularly AIBU.)

I was hanging the washing out earlier and found myself 'chanting' in my head: "yaa-boo, yan-boo, ahhh-boo nan-boo" repeatedly in my head. (No idea where the last came from.)

How do you all read/"hear" abbreviations in your heads?

I often want to tell people to have a bloody biscuit. I feel it might be misconstrued.

I often text DH to friends, then realise they may not be as sad as me have encountered MN yet.

Also start many, many of my conversations with my long-suffering DH with "there's a thread on MN where..." Hmm :o

ShirleyKnot · 24/03/2011 15:01

I dreamt that I was having an argument with someone in MN format. Each statement was headed with our names in a blue line. So as I was shouting out loud I saw it in text. Wierd.

Grin shirley! Grin

nickelbabyhatcher · 24/03/2011 15:22

and of course, i wouldn't have even bothered testing if it weren't for MN telling me that my period was late (i can never remember when it's due, so i was just "oh yeah, feela bit queasy, period must be due soon....")

ShirleyKnot · 24/03/2011 15:24

woooooOOOoooooOOOOO!

Are you feeling rough as?

nickelbabyhatcher · 24/03/2011 15:25

no!
i'm fine!
bit lightheaded - couldn't read today without my glasses, but they're weird - have a rim beneath my eyes, so can't read anything below my normal line of vision and the pressure of the rubber pads on my nose hurts.

ShirleyKnot · 24/03/2011 15:30

ok. You're supposed to be telling me about craving tuna and banana sandwiches or wanting to sick up your morning cup of tea - not about your glasses being a bit uncomfortable you loon.

nickelbabyhatcher · 24/03/2011 15:39

i'm a vegetarian
and my glasses are too tight.

i don't feel queasy today - although feel a bit odd

nickelbabyhatcher · 24/03/2011 15:39

and i'm only 3 weeks-ish, so give me a chance!!

ShirleyKnot · 24/03/2011 15:49

Is tuna not allowed then? Wink

aw, congratulations though lovey - it's great news!

nickelbabyhatcher · 24/03/2011 15:51

thanks!
(i did tell my mum before i told MN, though! Grin )

Gingefringe · 24/03/2011 15:57

I'm addicted to the Style & Beauty Forum but MN keep making me buy things on there.
