WTF!!!! According to BBC Breakfast she is a "model turned businesswoman" She was even in the Times magazine this weekend !! I mean I didn't realise that selling your soul to a reality tv show made you a businesswoman! Has the world gorn mad!!!

Just back from school run. Sorry my Op was a bit garbled . I think what I was most horrified at is the may that she is trying to be mainstream and aspirational and some young girls may think that the route to success in the business world is to emulate her -ridiculous- behaviour. Sorry not getting this across very well. I suppose I would be devastated if my duaghter thought she was worth admiring or copying IYSWIM.

She wants a pink helicopter.

I suppose she is a business woman though her choice of 'business' isn't stereotypically business is it!

I think she's quite a savvy businesswoman.

Not necessarily the sort of business I'd want to be in, but you can't deny she's rich and successful.

She markets herself, as well as ranges including perfume, underwear, equestrian goods, books and beauty products.

No doubt she has lots of people involved in the process but I understand much of the marketing ideas were hers. I guess when you're that rich and famous if you say "I want to bring out a range of pink fluffy helicopters with my name on the side in silver glitter" people would say OK, and off they go.

I understand that point of view. We hope that our daughters will take a different route to success.

But as others said she is a business woman. She's marketed herself for years and has put her name to a variety of products.

She's also an accomplished horse rider, as I understand it.

I don't agree with some of the things she does.

For example, her kiss and tell stories that she passes off as 'being honest and telling the truth'. There are other people involved and they have a right to privacy.

But, saying that, now only an idiot would get involved with her and expect any different.

kate price cannot entice girls to be like her. role model is on over used and oft hyped concept. if any girl wants to emulate KP et al then that to me is indicative of their own poor decision making and aspirations.not necessarily KP responsibility or alleged role model status at all

kp and others are only role models if they are allowed to be ,if the young person is susceptible to that marketing and branding.which not all young people are, some yes but not majority

She is extraordinarily shrewd. Sharp as a tack and having spoken to some people she worked with, she would skin a flea for its hide. She's a really hard negotiator, and perhaps one of her great strengths is no one expects her to be.

How anyone can deny the woman is a shrewd businesswoman, is beyound me. Man she is goooood at it. I don't even like her, but man she plays the game, and made a packet, as others have said , out of all sorts of diferent areas.
Businesswoman? god yeah, 'fraid so.

Never heard of her before. She looks pretty in some of her pics and a bit, well...drag queenish in others.

And her kids have stupid names.

But she seems quite good at making money, which I'm not, so more power to her :)

She's a nasty revolting human being... BUT she has made an absolute fortune from putting her name to a whole range of chavvy tat products. You can't deny she's done alright. Incredibly unpopular but still absolutely everywhere! Ofcourse there will be people advising her it's still up to her to put herself out there and irritate the fuck out of everyone

Yes she's made money but I also think she has an incredible amount of shrewd managers and accountants. Not for a minute do I think she draws up business plans and sales forecasts, which in my eyes would make an astute business woman.

I see it more as "Katie, these people want you to fo a perfume/book/pink fluffy Pwicey bra, sign here please and show up in soemthing outrageous at the signing".

Anita Roddick (RIP), Nicola Horlick, Karren Brady, Michelle Mone, Deborah Meadon- now THEY are good businesswomen.

I think she is a horrible 'human being' -100% totally nasty and selfish.

And what has she done to her once lovely face. She looks awful now.

She is one messed-up lady. But I have to say I bet she can tell you exactly how much is in her bank account and how much she made from each job she does, if someone hasn't paid her or which of her 'prodcucts' is most lucrative...

Appley- anyone can do that, that's called having a good memory, not being an astute businesswoman.

Other people line up the deals for her and she signs on the dotted line. Having pound signs in your eyes and knowing how much you earned from a job doesn't make you astute IMO.

Anyway I can't stand her. She has the cold dead eyes of a fish and is as bitchy as a teenager. Getting her own back on exes and showing the world she is over Pete/Alex/whoever. I mean how old is she? 13?

It worries me that she is so famous. It says more about society than it does about her and it's her notoriety that keeps her wealthy, rather than her popularity. She's a living soap, a panto baddie.

Personally, if I was worth an estimated £40million, I'd take a day off npw and then and spend it with my kids. I wouldn't be trying to make it £50 million.

Whatever else I may think of KP, I don't doubt at all that she is a shrewd & possibly rather brilliant and certainly a relentless businesswoman.
