To want to wear stockings instead of tights ?

My DH and I are going to a fancy dress party and its based on the Rocky Horror Picture Show.

I want to wear stockings as they look the part but DH thinks they make me look sluttish and says he will feel embarassed. From a nothing type bit of banter it is now getting a bit more 'serious' and he now says if I wear them he won't go.

Should I concede or make a stand ?

I would search for a compromise, maybe involving some opaque tights under the suspenders. It may be your body, but how would you feel if he was mostly on display in front of gawping husband-stealers?

When we went our friend wore gold boxers and bronzer
we had to put newspaper down for him to sit on and we lost our deposit on our house because of the gold handprints on the wall, but it was worth it!

Has he ever been to a Rocky Horror night?
if you look "decent" you'll look out of place!
