I tell ya, my Japanese sister and her mate went mad for it, too, ilove. There's a Cath Kidston shop in Glasgow, I thought we were never going to leave.

But did you actually buy anything expat?

I used to go into the one in Wimbledon Village on quite a regular basis, but I only once bought something. An oilcloth table cloth for crafts. I LOVE the idea, the colours, but I find it way too twee to fit in with anything we have.....

Oh, yes, Quint. The Americans I know love twee, too, just as much as my sister and her mate (somehow I escaped unscathed).

So it was like, 'Hurray! My shopping for them for the year is sorted! Thanks for dragging me here!' Easy peasy, too. Twee cross-stitch kits, twee Christmas ornaments, twee tshirts and wee bags and cases, etc.

And then I went and had a beer in a pub.
