here

I bought this little spring coat for my daughter on Ebay, only cost £5 ish inc P&P & the item listing did state "a tiny red mark on not noticebale"

The picture of the coat had the sleeve covering the marks.

That is NOT tiny!

exexpat · 18/03/2011 10:35

Def noticeable and having the sleeve covering it pictures sounds like deliberate deception.

HecateTheCrone · 18/03/2011 10:36

no. that is not a tiny, not noticeable mark. at all. that would draw the eye from 30 feet away!

thenightsky · 18/03/2011 10:38

Can you get it off with stain devils ink remover... it looks like red ink to me.

I would consider that a very noticeable large mark to be honest. Nothing tiny about it at all.

ShatnersBassoon · 18/03/2011 10:39

There are two very noticeable marks.

Not noticeable would mean so small you wouldn't see it at first glance.

mrsjaja · 18/03/2011 10:39

Definitely not a tiny mark!!!!!!!

mrsjaja · 18/03/2011 10:40

Definitely not a tiny red mark - you should contact the seller!!!!

KateMush · 18/03/2011 10:41

Unfair of them not to show it in the original photo - it is certainly noticeable!

BarbaraBar · 18/03/2011 10:41

2 red marks, both are noticeable.

I agree - deliberate deception.

CaptainNancy · 18/03/2011 10:48

Shock definitely unnoticable.

I am pissed off with ebay atm. The last 5 things I bought, 4 were not as described- pen marks, stains, dried-on food FFS- wouldn't you wash something you were selling?

It makes me livid as its not worth the postage to send back for refunds, and I am always painstakingly honest with my descriptions when I'm selling, and photograph any marks.

Awhiteelephantintheroom · 18/03/2011 10:48

I agree, definitely not a tiny mark! Have you contacted the seller?

TheSleepFairy · 18/03/2011 10:52

I have emailed the seller & told them the coat is only fit to be worn in the garden.

Light yellow & cotton, it will last 5 seconds.

getoffme · 18/03/2011 10:53

contact the seller, and ebay, i always take close up pictures of any damage so you know what you buying, covering it, is deception, leave horrible feed back too, nothing they can do about it, ebay won't take it down if it is truth...

some people...

curbyburr · 18/03/2011 10:57

Light yellow & cotton, it will last 5 seconds

with or without the red mark that will still be the case...

chipmonkey · 18/03/2011 11:00

Given that most people would go out of their way to show the stains exactly as they are to avoid bad feedback, this is definitely deliberate deception. Don't let her get away with it!

TheSleepFairy · 18/03/2011 11:01

Without the red marks I wouldn't let DD wear it to play in the garden curby

TheSleepFairy · 18/03/2011 21:58

I have received a reply back from the seller, she has refunded me & apologized.

Not sure what to do about feedback?

OP posts:
CarGirl · 18/03/2011 22:03

I would leave positive or neutral feedback.

"item was not as described, the seller was responsive and polite and the situation has been resolved"

madamedeluca · 18/03/2011 22:05

On a different note, what size is it, 'cos I have one really similar in green that you're welcome to. And it really doesn't have any marks on it.

TheSleepFairy · 18/03/2011 22:45

mad 3 4 years - what a lovely offer.

I thought neutral feedback but mentioning that the seller resolved the issue within hours.

It was a crazy thing to do though as the sleeve was covering obvious marks & it really shouldn't have been listed in the first place.
