bloody hell, that's aweful. sorry for your loss, perhaps your cousin is not thinking straight because they are upset too.... but still what an aweful way to find out.

I had this happen to me. It was the Grandad that I was less close to, but still, not good. My mum and Dad were on holiday, so I rang my sister, and then we rang uncles. My dad hadn't even been told, but luckily one of his brothers rang him then and told him.

I'm so sorry, but on the other hand, my friend chose to tell eveyone of her 6 year old daughters sudden and unexpected death on FB as she couldn't cope wth the phone calls, texts etc. It was the most painless way for her. At leat on FB she could filter it and respond as she felt. Thoughts are with you x

As a teen I found out my grandad had died after coming home from a summer camp, my Mum was acting very off with me. Then hours later my younger brother came home. I was drying the dishes and she told my brother very loudly so that I could overhear WTF?

someone i know found out theIR own dad died from an obituary in the community paper that a friend of their nans had read and showed her...

the dads family didnt bother to let them kno :(

I posted last week when my granny died, but then overnight had a panic that perhaps my cousins hadn't heard. I had to get up and delete my update. They all knew though.
