FabbyChic · 17/03/2011 11:58

OMG why? Why would someone do that what arses, can't they shop in Ann Summers alone when they have no children? How chavvy.

4FoxAche · 17/03/2011 11:58

Meh!

I took mine in with me the other day.

One was asleep, one was trying to chat up the shop assistant.

Think I might leave them outside in future. Grin

ethelina · 17/03/2011 12:00

Yeah thats pretty crappy. He will be so embarrassed.

Sn0wflake · 17/03/2011 12:01

How mean

4FoxAche · 17/03/2011 12:04

Oh I wouldn't with a 10yr old no.

Mine are both still in the pram.

I might think twice about it when they are old enough to understand.

Poor kid.

Desperateforthinnerthighs · 17/03/2011 12:14

I took my DS into Ann Summer when he was about 3! He was fasinated by the plastic boobs and we were told by the assistant that we couldnt go in there with children and we should leave them outside...... as if I am gonna leave a 3 year old out side on his own....I flounced off saying I would buy my rabbit elsewhere, lol.

I wouldnt take an older kid in there I have to say but at 3 it all went right over his head....apart from the plastic boobs obviously Shock

JessicaDrew · 17/03/2011 13:21

SOLUTION!
leave granny outside with kids while you go in shopping
but don't forget to ask her if she wants anything! Grin

I have a friend who used to work in an 'Ann Summers' type shop. She used to say people bringing their children in the shop was a daily occurance, and quite often people would be most upset about being asked not to bring them in Confused

MaisyMooCow · 17/03/2011 13:37

The Ann Summers store in our town is split into two sections, the Knickerbox everyday stuff and then futher back the sex stuff bit.

There shouldn't be a problem taking a child of any age into the everyday section, by not doing so gives that child a negative message about women's underwear etc. It's not a dirty subject that should be hidden. However if the mum was shopping for the sex stuff then she should really save it for when she doesn't have the kid with her rather than leave the poor thing outside.

MooMooFarm · 17/03/2011 13:54

The shop my friend worked in wasn't Ann Summers so everything was more 'mixed up'. It wasn't a sleazy long overcoat type shop but was very up front with everything nonetheless! I personally wouldn't want to have my DC asking what dildos were for Shock
