to expect the office lady to offer me a cake

started work today as a temp in an office.

Me and 3 other permenant ladies. One of the other ladies just asked the other 2 if they wanted a cake while she was out, but didn't ask me. So now they are all sitting in the next room with their cakes.

Why would anyone do something like that? Just don't get it.

I used to work with someone who would happily make a round of teas and coffees for everyone in the office, except me - without fail she would go round the office and collect mugs and walk right past me! What a cow. Still, she has a huge arse and spots and I don't so I think I've got the better deal Grin
Did you get a cake today, OP?

How was today?

There's a temp in my office. Our office has loads of people in it. We usually make drinks for the few people who sit around us. The temp sits just on the edge of that group. I didn't make a drink for him today. I wasn't trying to be unkind - just felt too shy to ask him!!! So stupid of me. I am quite shy. I noticed one thing when I started my new job recently and that is that often people wouldn't speak to me/include me at first and that they weren't being rude, just shy!
