Not weaning yet, but Ive got some carrots to use up and thought it would be a good idea to make some puree now, and freeze it (weaning is two months away)

AIBU? DP's family think Im a total nutter! Am I?

MIL couldn't get her head round BLW either. She seriously asked how DD would manage since she couldn't use a knife and fork yet.

But now she is seriously impressed at how well DD (10m) eats and enjoys bragging to her neighbours about the fact that her granddaughter eats proper food. So your lot may come round.

I'd watch how much puree you froze anyway, my DS was weaned at 4mo [controversial on MN...] and he only had puree for about 3 weeks. After that he was feeding himself anyway, so any spoon food I give him is just mashed up so he can chew it.

Another whose DD was weaned at 4 months. I bought Anabel Carmel's book [stupid face] and cooked virtually everything in it. DD really only liked pasta and bread so it was a waste of money. She particularly disliked carrots.
