It's fecking freezing here, snowing, and miserable, I've had a shite week and I want food delivered.
So am I?

Haha too late! Enjoy. I just ate a Pizza Hut calzone, potato skins and have a rocky road cake filthy looking thing for later Blush cost the same as your meal for you and dd and will be none left tomorrow Blush

Netto... I know how you feel. We're opting for takeaway too which we really shouldn't be spending money on as i've had a loooong annoying day (ds1's friends mother turned up unannounced for a visit and she's a lingerer, was here for over 4 hours!) and I simply do not feel like cooking.

Psammead · 12/03/2011 19:16

YABU. You need to live within your means.

NettoSuperstar · 12/03/2011 19:24

Within my means is a miserable/boring existence, I do it most of the time.

Tonight I want not to.
I want to eat my delivered food whilst watching Paddy McGuinness, and tomorrow, eat the leftovers whilst watching CDWM marathon.

So there.

Let the chicken see the chilli Grin

Love a bit of Paddy

SpermyShenanigans · 12/03/2011 19:28

YANBU because it sounds like you are able to cut back where necessary. Beans, tomatoes, cheese, tuna or any combination with toast or baked potatoes for a while would make up for it. I've been there and it isn't a bad diet. DH missed meat but, meh - needs must.

Excellent point about the bus fare. I was going to say factor in the petrol or risk / cost of wrecking your car in the snow but that's moot now.

Theantsgomarching · 12/03/2011 19:33

If you have your mind made up do it. If you weren't going to listen to any replies I fail to see why you'd post in the first place.

NettoSuperstar · 12/03/2011 19:34

Oh I'm a fab cook, and I serve up great meals on a budget, I really love cooking, but just sometimes I want it delivered to me.

Also, Paddy is mineGrin
I love him a wee bit more than is acceptable!

And yes, it's snowy, in a shit slushy, horrid way, and it's dull, and dark, and freezing.

We have our jamas on, duvets down and are awaiting foodGrin

OP is reading replies.

Perhaps it's just nice to engage with people?

AIBU might not be the best platform true, but sometimes it's good to have any sort of back-up.

Enjoy your food OP.

Theantsgomarching · 12/03/2011 19:50

Sorry for being a bit shitty OP, enjoy your food Smile

NettoSuperstar · 12/03/2011 19:52

Apology accepted.
You are right, I was just looking to engage, and this is the easiest place to do it.

You may say, 'I told you so', when I am moaning about feeling sick laterGrin

Theantsgomarching · 12/03/2011 20:46

Please tell me it was worth it? Have been weirdly wondering if you've had a crap meal Confused

SpermyShenanigans · 12/03/2011 20:49

Or if you are going to be hungry again in half an hour Grin

positivesteps · 12/03/2011 20:50

But you can afford it if you have the money to give the delivery man so enjoy.

NettoSuperstar · 12/03/2011 21:15

It was delicious, worth every penny.
I've just had some chicken and rice, with curry sauce and scooped up on naan.
DD has had shish, and naan and chips.
They sent the chips free, as they know DD likes chips, also some garlic sauce!
The delivery guy got homemade cake.

There is so much food we could eat for a week, but we'll not, just today and tomorrow will do us.

Hope your landlord realises it could take two months to sort your rent and they pay in arrears not in advance.

Hope you made the right decision about your take away. Sometimes it is nice to be able to just splash out.

NettoSuperstar · 12/03/2011 23:50

Oh he does.
I have explained it all, in exact detail.
He's said that it's OK.
I've lived here for 10 years, and have looked after the house.
