to think that most people look better at 30 than they ever did at 20!

Most of my friends turn 30 this year. I can only see it as a good thing as :

I know where to get a good haircut now
I'm far less scared of things
I can afford better clothes

I looked a state at 20 but I thought I was the bees knees! Bring on the 3 oh!

I think I look better now at 36 than I ever did in my teens and 20s. I have grey hairs, wrinkles and my body is kinda saggy now, but I have a confidence in myself which I never had before. A knowing look in my eyes

Still can't afford nice clothes mind.

I think in your 30s you dress better and tend to stick to what suits you rather than try out every new trend on a whim so style-wise yes but realistically I don't know any 30 year old women who could compete point by point with a 20 year old girl and think it's sad if they feel they have to.

It's definately likely that your much better groomed, presented and experienced at what looks good on you at 30, however I'm sorry to say there is a glow to youth that passes and no amount of anything gets that back

At 20 I was too tired from too much student living, bit pasty, tiny bit chubby, cheap or diy haircuts, made/salvaged own clothes.

At 30 I was in damn good nick.

3 kids and 4 stone later later at 40 I'm looking a bit wrecked again, but I live in hope.
