I know a woman who worships the guy. But even B.B rhought he was depressing last night.

He was putting the popular version among scientists about the end of the universe.

But does anyone really know what will happen billions of years hence...

Next week Mr Cox will be more upbeat.

I didn't find the message depressing at all....on the contrary I thought he was saying that it is amazing that we are here now, existing in the universes' adolescense. That is a miracle, that life is beautiful....mind boggling, but depressing no

saying all life will end ergo nothing matters is just existentialist angst.

And yeah, its just theory, but only in the sense that everything in science is just theory, its the best fit and most widely accepted theory available.

I didn't find it heavy going or depressing. It was really quite interesting and I learnt a fair bit. I enjoyed it, as did DH.

I suppose I don't find it depressing as I won't be around, nor will any particularly close relatives, when the sun does finally die. I just found it interesting.

And I can now say that I know what entropy is - a word I had never even heard of before last night :)

I thought it was a bit noddy actually though I did learn about red dwarves which I'd forgotten about / never knew about. Agree about all the wanky legs-wide-apart poses mind you. And the posy cinematography.
