Anyone know how to get a contraceptive implant taken out as an emergency?

I've had the thing for three weeks and it has completely ruined my mental health to the point where I almost just took it out myself with a kitchen knife. It's also causing me a lot of pain after healing at first since it's moving up and down my arm - it was about a centimeter down from the insertion site, then migrated back to almost the insertion site and now is a centimeter away once again. I'm wondering if anyone knows how I can have it taken out quickly? Is a minor injuries unit likely to do it? Might they be reluctant to do it but be willing if I tell them that I'll do it myself otherwise?

Thanks. I'm already feeling a lot better - worrying that it would be a major battle to have it taken out was definitely making me feel a lot worse.

I had one and hated it, it sent me absolutely loopy, I just called the Drs as I was considering taking it out myself with a craft knife. Nurse took it straight out when I said I was going to do it myself. Hope you're feeling better now it's out.

Zombieeeeeee. Go to a sexual health clinic, and explain it needs out.

That's great. It really didn't take long to feel back to me after it was out. Glad you're sorted.
