Seriously, I have had people who do exactly the same job as me tell me my job is "easy" as I am not as stressed out as them.

Don't ask us - obviously anyone who has time to be on here isn't that busy!

ooid - I have a friend like that. An utterly lovely and very capable person but she struggles to get anything actually completed.

There is a saying that if you want something done, ask a busy person.

But there's busy and there's busy IYKWIM. I am busy; I work 22 hours a week across 4 days, I have 3 children (one with SN/disabled who needs more care), I'm studying for a professional diploma and have a DH in the military so works long hours or is away a lot. My house is generally clean and tidy and the laundry pile manageable Grin. I am quite an organised person and find the more occupied I am the more I actually get done.

Contrast with my lovely friend who considers herself busy but - by her own admission - spends a lot of time fannying about and getting not much done. Her being busy consists of moving piles of stuff around, playing on her iPhone and watching daytime TV but not really achieving anything. She has so many hours in the day to get things done that she puts it off until later.

OP - it depends what you mean really. I think I'm busy (and organised): full time (demanding) job, 2 dc at different schools, DH abroad Mon-Fri, sit on PCC, have just agreed to do more at one school because a "kick" is needed. Today: up, breakfast, unload d/w, put on w/mach, drive ds to school then drive straight to work, work very hard 9-5 (short day - Friday), give dd quick tea before drama, in a minute will go to Sains and unpack, then will do drama pick-up at 8pm. At about 8.30 I will have two hours to myself with a glass of wine. Every day I do try to have an hour or two of personal peace but sometimes I admit that I get up at 5am or things just wouldn't get done. I have felt irritated in the playground in the run up to Xmas when non working mums tell me they are so busy and so stressed because of Christmas and all the plays, etc, though.
