Well, can you?

OP posts:
ChasingSquirrels · 01/03/2011 22:08

probably - no windows
definitely if the doors to the upstairs rooms were shut

Meglet · 01/03/2011 22:12

No Sad. I have a small space (1sqm) behind my bedroom door which is one of the only spaces that can't be seen from outside so I have to get dressed here. (apart from the bathroom which has frosted glass).

I dream of a non-overlooked house.

happiestblonde · 01/03/2011 22:13

Sadly yes. My living room however... Wink

RevoltingPeasant · 01/03/2011 22:13

My train station is overlooked by a few semis, and I don't think the bloke who shaves naked every morning in front of his unfrosted bathroom window realises that people on platform two can see his glories.

I used to find it embarrassing, but it's become rather a comforting morning routine...

Nagoo · 01/03/2011 22:14

when have you ever seen right inside someone's house to their nekkid self unless they are right by the window? NEVER.

and you are all welcome to climb on the church roof to attempt an ogle at my good self....

Pixel · 01/03/2011 22:17

We are fine on the landing and in all the bedrooms. There is no hiding place in the kitchen however, and our neighbours can see straight into our living room if they happen to use the side entrance to their house, ever since our skinflint landlord replaced the rotten, propped-up fence with a shorter one to save money make it more windproof. Hmm

We're a bit odd, for some reason we don't open curtains often. Upstairs, the landing blind is shut (I can't open it anyway cos I can't reach) - and so are the 3 upstair bedrooms 5 windows and the bathroom. Plus we don't open the side ones in the lounge - but do the front one. The playroom one (at front next to ounge) stays shut too. Infact, I came home the other day and my mum had opened the curtains!! It was SHOCKING! Had to sht them straight away, no idea why we do this. We aren't dpressed and los of light comes in the back! Course it means I can wander round naked upstairs and just damage my poor daughters eyes

abbierhodes · 01/03/2011 22:24

LOL at use of word 'semis' in revoltingpheasant's post!

oldraver · 01/03/2011 22:26

Yes as it is a very small landing with no window. I do however wander naked downstairs into the kitchen where no-one can see me unless neighbour is standing on my wall. I do sometimes forget I now have blinds not nets and you CAN see into the living room and hall which I need to go through to get to the kitchen

VivaLeBeaver · 01/03/2011 22:27

Yes I can and do.

This reminds me of a bloke who I used to work with who was preosecuted but found not guilty for "flashing" at some kids. He was in his sitting room wearing a dressing gown which "fell open". Some kids playing outside in the street saw everything and told the police. Went to court and I know he was found not guilty but I just couldn't help be a bit Hmm about the whole thing. Either him or the kids had to be right against the window tto see anything surely and he has a fair size front garden so doubt it was the kids.

VivaLeBeaver · 01/03/2011 22:28

Oh and I was once sat naked at the dining room table Mn'ing when the next door neighbour appeared at the backdoor which was wide open. Funnily enough he comes to the front door now.

Mirage · 01/03/2011 22:35

We have next doors garden outside our landing window, then just fields. However, the windows used to be obscure glass, and I had them replaced 2 years ago with clear [so I can admire the view of neighbours lovely garden and pretty church beyond].But I still forget that they aren't obscure any more,so poor pensioner neighbours/passing ramblers stand a good chance of spotting me wandering round in the buff.No one has ever said anything though.

tigana · 01/03/2011 22:38

Depends where on the landing I am. Towards back of house, I'm safe unless neighbour is right at top of their garden and craning neck (unlikely). At front...people strolling down hill may get eyeful.

TheSleepFairy · 01/03/2011 22:40

I have (open) blinds & large window on landing.

It's my house so obviously no-one can see me & nakid streaking is a daily ritual here.

Nakid roulette.

I believe that whislt chasing 3 (also nakid but below window height) children about trying to get every one dressed that anyone unfortunate enoughcopping an eye fall would only get 2 seconds worth of my wobbly bits gorg bod Grin

TheSleepFairy · 01/03/2011 22:41

Fuck knows what happened there [confussed]

SecretNutellaFix · 01/03/2011 22:43

Not really, not that I give a monkey's chuff if they can. If they get offended, why the fuck were they looking into my home anyway?

KurriKurri · 01/03/2011 22:43

Yep I can if I feel like it. My windows are so filthy I don't even have to close the curtains

COCKadoodledooo · 01/03/2011 22:45

Yep. We're not overlooked, and the window on our landing is floor to knee height only. Take a special kind of fetish to get off on seeing my milky white not too recently deforested pins.

MittzyBittzyTeenyWeeny · 01/03/2011 22:58

If I close the bedroom doors, yep I can and do Smile

LDNmummy · 02/03/2011 00:27

I do it anyway, I don't care, love being naked in my house, will be doing it till the kids are old enough to feel embarrassed Grin

TheSkiingGardener · 02/03/2011 01:34

Landing, yes. Kitchen, dining room, living room and bedrooms, no. Doesn't stop us.

NowPlease · 02/03/2011 11:03

Yep, we are overlooked - always wear pjyamas.

Grin
tyler80 · 02/03/2011 11:12

No windows on my landing :)

Lotkinsgonecurly · 02/03/2011 11:18

I can wander round all over the house naked we're not overlooked and have fields to the front and back. We do have neighbours but they're house doesn't look into ours at all.

However, we do have builders here doing an extension in the back garden. This seemed to have escaped my mind yesterday morning. A face appeared at the kitchen window as I was leaving the downstairs bathroom, luckily I was hidden behind a clothes airer but I'm fairly certain he saw something Blush if not a lot!
