sympathy, only.
i have a 4 yr old and non sleeping baby and am struggling too, and i am NOT trying to complete a degree!

have a wee bit fresh air and get down to, say, an hour's study, see how you feel then..

Get a fucking grip Grin

Take a walk, turn the phone off, have a cuppa, and breathe. Just lie down for 5 minutes and chill. You really need to take a break so you can come back refreshed and raring to go. If you don't you'll end up curled up in tears and frustration.

Btw, you are amazing! You've not only got 2 kids, you have a tiny baby! You will still be recovering from the birth for goodness sakes. Give yourself a break, and some time.

I don't know who is giving you pressure but they need a slap, you have a 12 week old baby! That is way more important. So if you can get some reading and stuff done then it's a bonus, but don't kick yourself for not managing it.

missnevermind · 28/02/2011 11:00

Wow is she 12 weeks already?
Be kind to yourself, it is hard. Without the pressure of the degree.
Remember you would still be on maternity leave if you went out to work!

SeeJaneKick · 28/02/2011 11:59

Have a bath or shower, have a nap as soon asthe baby does...leave the work until later.

Drink plenty...sleep asap.

Give yourself a break, cant imagine trying to finish a degree with a tiny baby.

Give yourself a little treat, perhaps a nice long bath or a nap when you can or a walk or whatever you feel like doing and then think about doing a little work. Once you start it wont seem so daunting.
