Mark looks like a little old man from a Lowry painting. Every time I see him on the gogglebox I expect him to talk like a Coronation St character from the '60s. "Eeeeeh bah gum lad, has yer got owt scratchin's behind bar? Any cheese cobs stick a bit o onion on that Betty"

I would punt Robbie out of bed like a rugby ball. If he wasn't so chunky.

TobyLerone · 28/02/2011 21:37

Mark Owen looks like a chipmunk, and he talks like one.

FellatioNelson · 28/02/2011 21:44

Yes! A Chipmunk! That's it. I'm partial to Robbie, in spite of him being a manic needy knobend. Gary is the next husband for me though.

bupcakesandcunting · 28/02/2011 21:46

Said it before but Robbie looks like a slightly dim chimp straining for a shit.

TobyLerone · 28/02/2011 21:52

I like a bit of Robbie. And he's lovely IRL :)

FellatioNelson · 28/02/2011 21:55

Yes he does! You are right, but I love him regardless. He needs mothering.

bupcakesandcunting · 28/02/2011 21:58

He needs smothering...

SpringHeeledJack · 28/02/2011 21:59

oi, cunting! stop going oooooooorn about Robbie, ffs

have a looky at this re Brian Cox

it's a bit funny

FellatioNelson · 28/02/2011 22:08

I could smother him very efficiently. Grin

"They were proper filth. Let's just say, we took them back to the Holiday Inn and filled them full of genetic material."

MrsWembley · 28/02/2011 22:15

Now, I'm fine with the fooking, but the idea of him talking about fanny is just... not right, in so many ways. Confused

scramwag · 28/02/2011 22:51

Don't like him at all, his constant grinning hides a nasty personality; his recent Huw Wheldon lecture was a lesson in consummate arrogance and his and his wife's bullying on Twitter was appalling. If anyone disagreed with them they were vilified with a hysteria which had the whiff of seventeenth century witch hunts. You are simply not allowed a different point of view (always a sign of stupidity and close-mindedness).They have cleaned up their act on Twitter since the beginning of the year (removing more offensive tweets etc) presumably because of his elevated profile but I will be glad when the love affair is over and science presented by truly intelligent people again - David King for example.

A certain percentage of giggling schoolgirls, hey?

SpringheeledJack- loved it thank you

IntergalacticHussy · 01/03/2011 10:37

nice to see he's not backing the big society swindle anyway.

I find him likeable and think he does a good job of fulfilling serious aims, and I especially support his stance on education and science funding. He's got the high profile and popular appeal to be able to make a difference in public opinion, so to me he is a good guy, and yes cute too. At least he uses his fame to some constructive end, makes interesting TV shows, and doesn't just get wasted on drugs and an empty celebrity lifestyle.

Wife annoys me a bit by moaning on about having to wash his pants and stuff but never a mention about how he is supporting the family financially, all on his own, so she can sit there tweeting and blogging. If he stays home and does laundry, is she going to go out and earn the bread? Some of us have to do the washing & housework, look after kids AND go out to a job. If she does decide to try something professionally she can do whatever she wants without having to worry about making it profitable - his high profile and media contacts will ensure that whatever she writes or proposes will at least be given serious consideration. And without him she would never have been asked to do that conveniently one-sided Guardian article. He, not she, is the whole reason it was published.

If she doesn't like being invisible then she really needs to show some accomplishment in her own right apart from (a) complaining about being Mrs Prof and (b) bragging about being Mrs Prof. She may not choose to be called Mrs Cox but she never lets us forget for one second who she's married to.
