why should kids get all the fun? aibu to think soft play for grown-ups would be wicked fun and just as good as a gym session? Grin

Oh come on, it's much more fun to go with the littlies and squeeze your way around their soft play, getting stuck in tubes, grazing your knees as you try and keep up with them Wink

I think the adult ones are those Go Ape places, but they involve MUD and I am sick to death of mud!

RamonaFlowers · 26/02/2011 22:30

Bof. Let's go there next thread meet up!

Vallhala · 26/02/2011 22:33

I can't do 'Go Ape'. :( I've had surgey under my right arm so I have below average strength and above average pain in it now.

LittleNicci · 26/02/2011 22:34

One evening last summer, we went to use our local one, only to find it closed because the local infants school (inc DS's teacher) had booked it for their end-of-year party.

BitOfFun · 26/02/2011 22:35

Ramona- you're on! I can just see Shiney wobbling on a highwire now...

igetmorelovefromthecat · 26/02/2011 22:35

I live not too far from Crealy in Devon and there is a massive indoor play barn there and adults can go on it. They have a big death slide and loads of stuff, I don't know who has more fun, me or DD1!

tyler80 · 26/02/2011 22:36

Ooh, I'd love that. There used to be a laserquest (maybe there still is) in Cleethorpes that was like soft play and laserquest combined - much fun.

Children get loads of great things these days, I'm always jealous that they didn't have tiny shopping trolleys or cars you could ride round shopping centres when I was a kid.

RamonaFlowers · 26/02/2011 22:38

She will throw derisory looks at us from the bench, whilst smoking a fag.

And then we will BUNDLE her, wrap her up in a cargo net and take her home for tea.

iwastooearlytobeayummymummy · 26/02/2011 22:43

but surely that slight smell of wee in the air must linger after closing hours????

oldraver · 26/02/2011 22:44

Some clubs I went to would have Bouncy Castles and suchlike for the clubbers. Was great fun not having to sneak on and share with young kids

mamaGool · 26/02/2011 22:46

No bonkers, there's no mud at Go Ape - you're up in the trees climbing rope ladders & zipping down wires, it's brilliant fun & not mucky at all :)

chickchickchicken · 26/02/2011 22:49

in gloucestershire there's a large indoor play area with death slides etc that adults can go on

sims2fan · 26/02/2011 23:01

There used to be one in maldon, Essex that did evening sessions for adults. I never went but it looked like fun. That was about 7 years ago now though, so might no longer be there

anewyear · 26/02/2011 23:11

Soft play for adults!

Most men would go for that me thinks, NOT in a wink wink, nudge nudge sort of way!

Im 45 in August, nt a 'big' Birthday, but would like too mark it Grin

Any one know of any where, in a sort of 10 - 15 mile radius of St Albans?

BoffinMum · 26/02/2011 23:21

It's called a May Ball ... adult sized bouncy castles and inflatable quasar. And Zorbing in ball gowns. Grin

BreakOutTheKaraoke · 26/02/2011 23:29

I'm sure Big Fun in Hull can be hired out for corporate events- saw a leaflet. But it didn't say if you can get drink and play, which is when it would be most enjoyable!

TysonNobdie86 · 26/02/2011 23:31

We have one that does adults nights, it has a fully licensed bar! Not been to one though, might have to one day soon Grin

webbygeek91 · 26/02/2011 23:40

I wish :) I think the last time I got away with it was when I was 15 :) I was with my 12 year old godbrother though.

Ripeberry · 26/02/2011 23:49

Chick chicken, is that Cattle Country by any chance?

TheLadyEvenstar · 27/02/2011 00:01

We also cater for the big kids too.. including adults! We've got a fantastic variety of adult parties and event nights you can use our entire playcentre for... all to yourself!

Partyman World

I have taken the dc here and it is excellent for adults the children.

MissyKLo · 27/02/2011 00:04

Blimey sounds a bit kinky and swingerish!

TheLadyEvenstar · 27/02/2011 00:09

DrakesDen · 27/02/2011 14:48

We own a soft play centre, and sadly my insurer will not cover us to allow adult only play.... to many claims over the years (and they are a leading soft play insurance firm). :-S

Greenshadow · 27/02/2011 15:03

Must be Cattle Country Ripeberry. Great place for younger teens too who have grown out of most soft play places.

If there's another in the county, Chickchickchicken, please do let us know.
