Nurses in uniform on public transport

This is something that makes me crazy.
They talk about nosocomial infections, millions of pounds are spent per year to supply hospitals with hand gel, and then on the way home, you see dozens of nurses on the tube, trains, buses, trams and buses wearing their own uniform from and to work!

Don't they know it should not wore before they arrive in the hospital?

Also midwives do that.

I just cant stand it! They really show they dont care!!!

I know a few doctors and they never do this with scrubs (obviously- but weird on the bus Grin). But they do go in in their normal clothes for ward rounds, clinics etc. Just get changed for operations.

ZOMBIE THREAD ALERT

How do furious posters even find these threads? Do they sit there thinking, "I'm furious about people telling nurses not to wear uniforms on public transport, but I don't want to start my own thread so I'm going to put all that in Advanced Search and see if anyone else is as furious as me, and add something to that one, even if it's SEVEN YEARS OLD."

Ugh I hate ZOMBIE THREADS! Why isn’t it harder to resurrect this fucking things? I might start a thread on site stuff.

Stwnsh · 14/06/2018 16:04

Get a life no wonder their s no nurses left who would want the job with attitudes like some of these

RhubarbRhubarbRhubarbRhubarb · 14/06/2018 16:10

Stwnsh · 14/06/2018 16:15

No it’s the truth ,don’t you know moral is it at its lowest in nurses because of people like you please get facts right honestly a lot of hospitals don’t have changing rooms anymore, what can they do,patients don’t even have a day room every little space they pushed extra beds

RhubarbRhubarbRhubarbRhubarb · 14/06/2018 16:17

Yes, but this is a ZOMBIE THREAD. It started years ago and some bright spark commented on it today which resurrected it.

Swearing ,is that your answer says a lot

PuppetOnAString · 14/06/2018 16:18

Um... what?! You are a funny little fella aren’t you Grin?

I’m guessing what has happened is that you’ve been googling something to do with nurses and this very old conversation popped up in your search. You, (wrongly), thought the conversation was still happening and wanted to angrily add your two cents? Well, let me help you. The people you are getting all grouchy with are probably not even on mumsnet anymore.

If you’d like to start a new discussion about nurses, then go for it. But start your own thread. Zombie threads are just tedious and annoying.

Btw, if you do start a pro-nurse thread, you will likely get a lot of support as mnetters tend to be supportive of the profession in the main. And rightly so Smile.

Also, just to warn you, sometimes on mumsnet people... say SWEARS ShockShockShock!
