To assume 'all things equal' when reading aibu?

To clarify, I come across a lot of 'you don't know the full story' and 'that's just a snapshot' and 'what if the child had behavioural issues' etc. in response to posters on AIBU.

I generally assume the op either knows that he/she hasn't seen the whole picture, or indeed does know the full story.

In other words, I attach an implicit 'no statistically unusual circumstances' to posts.

It makes my life easier.

Is this U? Does anyone else do similar?
