I should look like Elle MacPherson?

A sealed 50p tube from a charity shop admittedley. However, is posh better than cheap? I buy in the £1 - £5 range. Am I cynical to think an extra tenner will not erase the skin damage?

I don't think anything other than surgery can have a really dramatic effect, but really high end products use lots of high quality products and have lots of money thrown at research, so can mean a better quality product than a cheaper version.

That said, do you remember the baby bottom butter hype?

In an ideal world, we would all look like her, but it cant hurt to try! My sister, who works with some of the most expensive products you can get (hundreds of pounds per gram!), says that aslong as you moisturise well and protect your skin from the sun then you are doing the best for your skin. Some products can make a small difference to lines etc but for most women it is the sun that does the damage so the best thing is to use something witha decent SPF all year round. Most of even the cheaper ones have sun protection in them, so I wouldnt worry too much.

What annnoys me is the ads that now assume that everyone is having surgery but you are using cream until you can afford it or are ready for it! Olay do this on their ads and it pisses me off.

God forbid we should just age naturally!
