agree that AIBU is wrong place to post BUT im happy to admit i am NOT the quickest with internet etc and i couldn't (still can't) see where one would post an intro.

People don't post intro's. So you are unique.!

ExeterisEasy · 22/02/2011 00:22

You may all call me Showy. To my face.

How do you introduce yourself though? Seriously? Even if there was a facility?

Hi I'm Showy. I like WWII defences and gingerbread. I don't like looking directly at the sky and as a child sat in pillboxes with my eyes tightly screwed closed hoping when I opened them I'd find a dead German at my feet. Oh and I like puzzles.

That sort of thing? I'm probably oversharing. But at least I stopped before revealing that sometimes I touch myself when nobody's looking. Oh, hang on.

threefeethighandrising · 22/02/2011 00:28

This might help.

firstnamechangeEVER · 22/02/2011 00:30

I have just joined another interweb forum - hobby related - and I have been directed most firmly that my first post must be here and I should 'describe myself and what I hope to gain' from utilising said hobby forum. Then I may return to my seat and spit out any gum into the waste paper basket I assume.

Wankers.

missjulie · 22/02/2011 00:33

Hi exeteriseasy, welcome to MN! I just 'joined' in August, and am loving it!!!

TalcAndTurnips · 22/02/2011 00:40

Showy - WWII defences? There's one not too far from me:

Have a Mulberry Caisson!

I think it's quite nice, in a lump-of-concretey sort of way.

Oh, and hi ExeterisEasy !

ShowOfHands · 22/02/2011 01:05

That's beautiful Talc. The way I feel about that picture is how normal people feel looking at Johnny Depp or puppies and things.

I've got no less than 5 books on UK WWII defences. One of them's just pictures.

Why am I telling you these things?

FabbyChic · 22/02/2011 01:09

Can I ask that those of you with a heart, please go to Chat and post on the thread entitled Help.

I can't post on it or even look at it anymore, but I'd ask those of you still up to do so if you don't mind please.

Thank you.

FabbyChic · 22/02/2011 01:10

Help

missjulie · 22/02/2011 01:20

Done
Hope you are ok fabby?
xx

BitOfFun · 22/02/2011 01:39

Don't worry too much about the other thread, everyone. MNHQ are watching it.

TalcAndTurnips · 22/02/2011 01:40

I have also nipped over Fabby .

Showy I know just how you feel - I like big cranes; those huge tower cranes with long arms and a little cab. I think that there is something very majestic about the way they move; sweeping about slowly whilst carefully carrying their load.

Oh shit - if I carry on I'll start writing a poncetastic blog like that one so roundly despised in _Chat this morning!

stretch · 22/02/2011 09:29

'Watching' it bof?
