I am fed up with the meddlers.

DM and DH.

[grrr]

DH can't just let me cook without wandering along and shaking, stirring or fannying something that I'm completely in control of.

DM has just been Shock at me chopping up the mushrooms on the same board the chicken was chopped on. It's all going in the same pan to be cooked for the same length of time. Logic bypass huh?

Anyone else suffer from fiddlers on the kitchen?

My DH is the same. If I have something cooking on a high light to reduce it, he come along and turns the gas down.
That's to say he used to, when I scraped the whole lot into the sink after he had 'helped' once too often. He learned.

I agree with whoever said that if you wash your boards with hot water and soap, you're fine. I have three boards and use them according to the need for a specific size. I do tend to give them a quick wipe after cutting meat if I need to use them for something else (obviously not something like a salad that will be eaten raw) but I'm not obsessive about it.

I think people are too paranoid. One of the benefits of living in a first world country in the twenty first century is that our storage, refrigeration, preservation etc methods are so much better and more reliable that really, we don't have as many issues as we might have had 100 years ago.
