Excepting myself of course O:)

The trolls don't even bloody try hard

Huns, 'minging' and keep cropping up.

Grrr, I feel like stamping a 'must try harder' thingy at the top of certain posts

There's one!

ApocalypseCheeseToastie · 21/02/2011 09:24

Yes, yes. We have the fecking mumsnet equivelant of rednecks, I imagine their computer screens are covered in chewing tobbaco spit

GabbyLoggon · 21/02/2011 11:11

Initially I thought not another royal family jibe, apocalypse,

Yes, wind ups can be difficult to spot;but you can answer them straight and ask if it is a wind-up.

Its horrible when someone puts on a post about a genuine death in the family; and it is wrongly treated as a joke. cheers

donkeyderby · 21/02/2011 11:25

why don't you lot set up your own forum if you don't want new people with opinions that threaten your own?

"Gabby" is beginning to look increasingly sensible and thoughtful on here. Blimey

fanjoforthemammaries7850 · 21/02/2011 11:36

well, I am quite surprised donkeyderby, last time we spoke you were defending me on SN boards against a troll.

tiredemma · 21/02/2011 11:39

I wish each time I logged onto Mnet I would not uncover a thread that alluded to something else going on on here (something that despite mass trawling, I cannot find)

Its very frustrating.

GabbyLoggon · 21/02/2011 11:40

Well, donkey, there are serious subjects and jokey subjects.(in life as well as on mumsnet)

Rational opinions that people have dont threaten posters who think differently

Mumsnet is about differing opinions. (Otherwise we become a sort of party political broadcast)

I could write a thesis on this but; I will leave others to do that.

Yes we do have "rednecks" Apocalype; It may well be Sarah Palin posting anonymously.

cheers, "Gabby" PS I think Mrs logan is back on 5-live today..After hols. (skeggy again?)

donkeyderby · 21/02/2011 11:43

Fanjo, I don't even really know what a troll is! I defend whoever, whenever I see fit. I don't like gang mentality against new posters like that poor woman on the thread about her child being left outside a school - or inside a school.

fanjoforthemammaries7850 · 21/02/2011 11:45

well, i didn't post on that thread..

fanjoforthemammaries7850 · 21/02/2011 11:45

Am pretty sure ACT was not referring to that poster though, but to the multitude of posters who seem to be posting just to wind people up at the moment.

eggontoastie · 21/02/2011 11:47

think i've just spotted some inbred twats on here have them removed they could turn into crazy mn trolls

ApocalypseCheeseToastie · 21/02/2011 11:52

I'm not referring to any serious posts.....

OP posts:
GabbyLoggon · 21/02/2011 11:58

If you wont to make an impressionwith one line it will be a wind-up

Shakesspeare wrote books; but Bob Hope did unfunny one-liners. "Gabby

KazBarTheFriendlyGhost · 21/02/2011 12:06

Would you agree that it would get increasingly difficult for genuine new posters (such as myself) to find the confidence to post anything at all, when every new thread is treated as trollery...

However, I too have experienced a thread which I was on being deleted so can only assume trollery in that case.

Personally, I'm trying to join the MN community as open and honest as I can be so in answer to your thread...

YANBU to think MN is becoming overrun with inbred twats, but from what I have seen it is a very low percentage of threads that have actually kicked off in the fashion you are referring to.

OTOH, you seem to have been here a long time so perhaps are a more adept to sorting the genuine threads from the trash

GMajor7 · 21/02/2011 12:18

For 'Troll', read 'New Poster'.

fanjoforthemammaries7850 · 21/02/2011 12:23

uh huh Hmm

ApocalypseCheeseToastie · 21/02/2011 12:35

But we were all new posters at some point.... fwiw i've only been on here a year at most, and am considered to be 'new'

It's only the newbies who merely shitstir that I object to

fanjoforthemammaries7850 · 21/02/2011 13:19

Naming no.names

ApocalypseCheeseToastie · 21/02/2011 13:34

I really couldn't tell you who is new or not, nor could I care less. Like Fanjo I object to the ones who seem to post with the sole intention of upsetting others/stirring up trouble and spreading bullshit.

In fact their is one rumbling along quite nastily right now

OP posts:
SarahStrattonHasNiceBears · 21/02/2011 13:46

I can't tell who is new and who has namechanged tbh. I'm not very good at working out who is who. I'm inordinately proud of myself for working out who AF now is. Although I could be wrong.

There does seem to be a lot of shit stirring going on though. And a lot of threads that seem 'normal' but turn out to be a load of rubbish. I'm yet to work out the point of those though.

fanjoforthemammaries7850 · 21/02/2011 13:48

If I get one minute to do it am going to ask mnhq if there has been another invasion .

GMajor7 · 21/02/2011 13:51

Eh?

Not me guv!

I've been here for a couple of years...I just don't post all that much.
