I am always up first and I keep telling DW to make the bed when she gets up,she never does. So now I only make my half of the bed.

AIBU?

I prefer to straighten the bed out just before bedtime.

I would love to see a half made bed.

TheSkiingGardener · 19/02/2011 19:52

You are married, which means you must be at least 16.

Act your age and talk about it.

Ormirian · 19/02/2011 19:53

"The" wife? Which one? There are millions of us out there.

BartySlartfast · 19/02/2011 19:54

I have talked about it but she takes no notice
I think she never notices the bed half made because I am usually in bed before her aswell

I used to make the bed while dh was asleep in it - he used to get really cross LOL
Nowadays I sleep in the spare room :o and he festers in the super king size on his own. He just throws the quilt back then moans cos the cat leaves that skanky cat grit in the bed

shame

How about Reeling just pinches the thread and we start a discussion about the shape of wet patches we once knew?

Any contributions from OP gratefully received.

ChildofIsis · 19/02/2011 19:58

Mind you I can't quite remember our last one.
We're old marrieds and knackered most of the time!

BartySlartfast · 19/02/2011 20:01

Wet patches

Are you talking wet patches from rude business?

OP posts:
reelingintheyears · 19/02/2011 20:04

Yes.

BlueCollie · 19/02/2011 20:07

My DH used to moan if I didn't make the bed after getting out of it. I do think it's a valid point of last out sorts the duvet however, I couldn't care less if it is straightened when I first get out or when he comes moaning about later and straightens it then Grin
The only person to go in our bedroom is us so who cares..I'm never going to be in OK magazine. I wouldn't even get me started on all those people that have millions of cushions on their bed that they then have to take off before they get in and put back on in the morning....what a waste of time!

reelingintheyears · 19/02/2011 20:08

I'm an old unmarried.....

And knackered most of the time...

But those fucking wet patches...

They are a drag...Grin

RevoltingPeasant · 19/02/2011 20:09

Last time I visited DP he got cocksnot on the sheets - and then announced that those were the last clean ones.

[skanked out emoticon]

reelingintheyears · 19/02/2011 20:09

Oh ChildofIsis.....

We did Antartica once....Grin

RevoltingPeasant · 19/02/2011 20:10

(Just thought I'd share Grin)

Anyhow YANBU, I keep telling DP to pull back the sheets to air the bed when he gets up but he never does....

And what kind of relationship is it when you can't tell the other person to do things? tsk.

d0gFace · 19/02/2011 20:12

Haven't made a bed in years. :)

jenga079 · 19/02/2011 20:13

DP is so anal about tidying that the other day he started making the bed while I was still in it. I had to sneak out of the side after I'd finished breakfast (yes, I am so spoiled that I get breakfast in bed at weekends!)

MooMooFarm · 19/02/2011 20:14

Oh dear Barty, do stop being silly

Saggyoldclothcatpuss · 19/02/2011 20:14

You are male (Im assuming) so thererfore everything that you say or do, is, by default UNREASONABLE!
Maybe you should give over telling the 'little woman' what to do and go and mow the lawn, or fix the car like a good husband should! Grin

manicbmc · 19/02/2011 20:16

Or put some shelves up? Grin

ChildofIsis · 20/02/2011 09:36

I've told dh about this thread and mentioned that we had a'shape of africa to beat'.

I'm not sure that we could manage antartica though!

I think putting shelves up is a usefull thing for a dh/dp to do.
