I tell the truth on mumsnet. Do you?

I understand not wanting to be outed in RL and changing minor details of your life i.e DC's names, but do people really wholehearted lie a lot?

I'm not talking about trolls, just regular mumsnetters Confused

I change the odd detail especially if I am talking about other people, so i may say "Friends DD said x" when it is actually a DS. Or change the sex of DS teacher or something, just in case someone recognises me themselves.

Can't see the point of claiming to change my sheets more often than I do, or claiming my house is pristine when it closely resembles a landfill site.

i don't, i know i am completely anonymous on here, so there is no need to. nobody, as far as i know, knows i go on here (except DP), and if they do they certainly don't know my talk name. i do know some people that openly say that they use mumsnet, and tell people their usernames, and sometimes when i bump into their posts i know that some things have been tweaked or missed out completely. whatever, their choice, but it does make me think that although many users are completely honest in what they post, sometimes some of the things that are posted should be taken with a pinch of salt.
