Currently paying £24 per month for BGas homecare cover, in the post today I received an offer which compared to BGas seems to good to be true from Corgihomecare.co.uk who offer the same plan for £16.99 per month, takes 30 days to come in effect but will save me £7 a month, can't be bad.

How long was your guarantee?

cyb · 19/02/2011 21:00

2 years I think, was repaired by Vokera then, but their extended warranty even more ££ than British Gas

It IS all a big rip off isnt it

Youre damned if you do and damned if you dont

Yes Pointydog, I probably need a new boiler, but this way, I'm not having to shell out £3K for a new one until I absolutely need to.

To jump back to the original question, we use the Corgi homecare service which is working out a lot cheaper than the BG service we were using previously.

When I rang BG to cancel they did say that they would lower my cost to match it, but they couldnt offer me a brand new boiler if mine was unfixable... that was the clincher for me from Corgi.
