to think this woman was being ridiculous

I was having my hair done yesterday and halfway through this guy came in and started having his cut. This woman then started moaning quite loudly because it is a womans salon but this guy was one of the other hairdressers brother. The woman went on for about 5 mins complaining and saying that his presence was making her uncomfortable.

oh if it is properly set up as a women's only salon as in normally men are not allowed in it and aimed @ women who cover etc then she is not bu at all and the owners are, can't advertise it as one thing and then in practise its something else.

Is it legal to have a women-only hair salon, or women-only anything else, for that matter? What about equality legislation - you couldn't have a "whites-only" or "christians-only" service, surely.
