and to find magazines like Hello,OK etc so boring that I would rather stare at blank walls for an hour while waiting in the doctors surgery.

I couldn't care less :

  • who is marrying, divorcing, shagging who.
  • about their children (except to laugh at ludicrous names)
  • where they went on holiday
  • what dress/suit was worn to what ceremony
  • who's in the fecking jungle eating worms
  • etc

I just don't get this fascination with other peoples lives just because they are famous

YANBU not to buy or read them but YABU if you make assumptions about the people who read them.

Sometimes some vacuous reading is the perfect antidote to a stressful RL situation

YANBU. I also don't want to see "Celebrity Special" versions of ordinary tv shows. What's wrong with ordinary real people? Celebrity Masterchef is the worst as the judges are never mean to them despite their complete inability to cook anything.

i agree unless it's about colin firth

GabbyLoggon · 17/02/2011 16:33

yes, Dlamis, our fame culture has got ludicrous...the tabs and some mags keep the fame fire burning. "Gabby"

Lauzifer · 17/02/2011 16:36

YANBU i can't stand the culture we have of turning complete idiots and nobodies into celebrities. Jordan, Kerry Katona and Jodie Marsh are great examples. They wouldn't be famous if these pointless magazines didn't keep writing stories about them.

I don't buy magazines i buy a good book instead.
