I melted my chip pan to the hob..

Not an AIBU but i dont know where else to post?

My hob is now covered in melted plastic.. i have tried scrubbing with bleach and hob cleaner, nothing is working!

Any ideas??

Mary, another thing to try would be very very very fine sandpaper.

Well ive just scraped most of the plastic around it off with a knife, thats worked alright. I just need to scrub the top now and see if that works :)

A plastic tray from my recycling fell onto my electric hob a few weeks ago, i just reheated it so it was plyable (sp) and then used a sharp knife to scrape it off. Afterward's good old fashioned Fairy and elbow grease got it back to it's original look.
