to think that Groupon is too good to be true

Just booked a £29 haircut with colour normally over £90, is this too good to be true, first time I've used this website, anyone else had experience of this or is it a rip off?

Brilliant.I just had a fab hair cut and colour via Groupon,I couldn't have otherwise afforded it.Afterwards I went to help out at school and was surrounded by admiring mums asking where I'd had it done. That has never happened to me before, ever.Blush

Thanks for the other websites Trillian, not that spa visits are exactly my thing :)

Just spotted one really naff aspect of Groupon concerning their 'earn 6 quid' for recommending them... only works for you if
a) recommendee buys a product / service (sensible and fair) and
b) this is done within 72 hours (seems an easy way to avoid giving credit)

Most sites I've used (and certainly all the affiliate schemes) offer validity for 7 days to a year before they stop. 72 hours is tight, in my view.

OK, they use the idea that you would be letting (like-minded) friends know of a special offer that you wanted too, but I know a variety of people across the UK and a 'special' in one city will not apply elsewhere, so looks like they assume one only keeps in touch with friends + colleagues from work / education / local "clubs"
