you should concentrate on spelling said childs name correctly!!

It is spelt 3 different ways in 4 lines - only 1 of those is correct. Grin

Absolutely. Grin
Offer your services as proof reader. It infuriates me when teachers don't double check reports for accuracy.
I'm a bit less fanatical about notes in reading journals, but names should always be accurate.

mumbar · 12/02/2011 12:49

I wouldn't pick fault in spelling per se as I'm dyslexic. Smile

The name is printed at the top, The first word of the attitudes etc bit is his name spelt wrong - albiet it the traditional spelling Grin

Its even more amusing that its spelt wrong in the sentence that says "DS lacks concentration when completing written tasks" Really Grin Hmm

Yes and then... when I'd had my little smug, I'd focus on my chid lacking concentration...

BuntyPenfold · 12/02/2011 13:34

I think you should raise this with the teacher - but don't expect to be popular.

magicmummy1 · 12/02/2011 17:05

yanbu. But personally I wouldn't bother making an issue of it.

lazarusb · 12/02/2011 17:46

Our Head checks every child in the school's report (over 500 children). Maybe your school should start this! I would mention it, I think it's quite disrespectful.

TheMonster · 12/02/2011 17:47

Goodness. Is it an unusual name?

mumbar · 12/02/2011 19:45

No not an unusual name at all Grin

I'm not going to mention it, its obviously just a mistake.

My DS has problems with writing - his spacial memory is poor as are his fine motor skills. He finds it hard and lacks enthusiasm which means he doesn't put as much into it compared with maths - which he's extremely good at apparently!
It is something both the school and I are working on - and I read him the report. Wink
