to think now that Jamie Oliver is wonderful, after years of thinking he was a prat?

I couldn't be arsed with all that 'ooh me and Jools' nonsense in Naked Chef.

Grudgingly admired his campaign for school dinners and 15 but think he was very judgmental and overzealous and naive.

Frankly found his 'what the proles eat in Rotherham' series borderline offensive.

Have a few of his recipe books and they are distinctly bla bla bla.

BUT - 30 minute meals (both book and series) are seriously good.

His presentation is very good - he actually comes across as likeable for the first time.

Perhaps he has grown up a bit.

And the food is very, very good.

Plus he is more attractive now.

I've always loved Jamie.
Delia taught me the basics, but learned to love flavour and try new ingredients from Jamie.
Cooked the liver and bacon recipe in 29 minutes but the kitchen was a complete mess after :)

didnt like it when he used to have his pretentious "fabulous friends" around to eat, were they the same rent a guests that Nigela had do you think?
Dh is enjoying his 30 min meals at the mo and trashing my kitchen doing the cooking. It does eem to me that the reason they are 30 mins is that there is a lot of corner cutting,i had to intervene the other day as the fishcakes involved processing a load of raw fish then adding it to breadcrumbs, sounded yucky has anyone made them?I cook the fish and add it to potatoes normally.

Friend of mine works for him. I trust her judgement. She thinks he's a workaholic good egg.
