I just looked out the window and there is a police van parked at the kerb.

I have shamelessly opened my downstairs loo windown that faces next door but I can't hear anything.

I want to know what's going on!

I came home last week and there was a police car parked outside my house blocking my driveway and two policemen on our shared path, I was all Confused bloody hell I've only been gone half an hour what has dh done!
I opened my window and asked the cops "is evrything all right?" and he said, yes, fine, we'll move the car so you can park. And then they both disappeared into next door.

I have seen my neighbour (DN? Grin) several times since and she hasn't mentioned it, I felt a bit awkward bringing it up. We aren't 'mates' but we do chat a little bit when we see each other outside.

I am a nosey cow, I know! But WHAT are the police doing there?

AIBU to mention it next time I see DN? And how the hell do I bring it up? I mean it's not like I could miss the bloody big police car sitting there, but if she doesn't want to tell me about it then it's her business and I don't want her to be feeling awkward by me 'putting her on the spot'.

Isn't it funny how sometimes mnet differs. This question at another time would have mnetters speculating and encouraging the OP to find out more (remember the post about the police in the house over the road where the policeman was sick)

I don't think you should ask her as it's really none of your business but you are definitely NBU to WANT to know what's going on. My mum always said that being nosey is healthy Wink
