She told me today that she had been to see Black Swan and did not like it.

She went with two of her line dancing buddies because, "we thought there would be a lot of dancing".

Apparently, not only was there little dancing, there were also some rather, "graphic lesbian scenes".

She was rather shocked by it all.

Oh, God. I can just imagine my mum doing that.

And then sinking into the sofa in deep deep embarrassment.

Mum is quite prudish, she hardly ever swears. And when she does, she looks very contrite, like a little girl.

My father is a steam railway enthusiast. He was very disappointed in Trainspotting.

MmeLindt · 09/02/2011 20:57

Ha. That is brilliant.

My mum says, "Shite", "sorry",

I used to watch Queer as Folk when it was on (living at home) and mum walked in one day and saw some, erm, furious bumming going on and she told me to turn it off straight away. (she doesn't like it when people kiss on Corrie) I told her to get a life and stop being so gay-ist. She watched for a bit and got well into it, she was gutted when the programme finished Grin

I went to see Brokeback Mountain with my Mum. It was all fine until he undid his fly. She didn't like that at all!!!

FWIW I am 38, have been married for 11 years and have 2 dcs but still don't swear infront of my Mum or Dad. Hmm

BalloonSlayer · 09/02/2011 21:09

I remember watching Not the Nine O Clock News with my Mum and at the end they sang the song "Kinda Lingers." I understood the joke but thought my Mum would be unimpressed that I did, so I faked a puzzled look and said "I don't get it!?!"

She was even less impressed that she had to explain it. She managed to say the word "cunnilingus" as if she had it on the end of a barge pole.

BalloonSlayer · 09/02/2011 21:09

had the word that is.

Although knowing my Mum ...

MmeLindt · 09/02/2011 21:22

Haha.

I can remember watching a documentary with my Dad, about AIDs, in the late 80s it must have been.

Something was said and I turned to my Dad, most indignant and said, "Well, that it total rubbish as there is a risk of getting HIV through oral sex".

Then I remembered that I was speaking to my Dad.

My Mum & Dad started watching Sex And The City and practically got addicted to it.

I was staying over at their place one night when it came on tv. And stupidly I thought I would be able to handle watching it with them. It was the episode when Miranda talks dirty and ends up talking about fingering her boyfriend's ass.

My father's sniggering was more than I could take - I had to leave the room! It still haunts me.

MadamDeathStare that was the only bit my mum laughed at during the whole film. My sister reported: "a guffaw."

(Mind you that is the funniest bit)
