OK I expect I prob am.....
ds new school (state) expensive uniform coat which went AWOL within about 2 weeks of him starting.

It was labelled in 2 places, we had a lot of 'don't worry it will turn up' etc etc and it hasn't

I'm really annoyed with the school, shall I offer to go in and check the labels of all the coats do you think?

We have had this on occasion at the DSs school. Parents have written letters that were placed n bookbags before they went rooting in the pockets of their classmates belongings.

But what do you really expect the school to do? I think you should check the cloakroom coats, but it is not the school's responsibility to do anything at all!

Tiffany if I find my new item I will take it home.

It had 2 labels in the neckline area!!

I am familiar with a lot of other coats in the school by now Grin occ I've had a little feel and there is a big difference between one that is a year or two old and a new one (you don't need to buy new every yr and most people seem to have started off in a generous size.)

OK thanks I thought you were all going to flame me Grin

If you see someone feeling coats at school tomorrow come over and say Hi Smile

you can give me a hand

PS did I say someone has stolen dc2 shoes from the new nursery named too Hmm

(and we were told this is a nice area)

When my child (PFB) was in nursery I spotted a child in town on a Saturday wearing her Ralph Lauren jumper with a sauce stain on the sleeve (so I knew it was hers).
DH had to physically restrain me from asking the parent for it back there and then in Tesco's so I assume guilt until proven otherwise.
I can completely understand that a mix up might have taken place but you wash it and return it the next day not consider yourself to have won the clothing lottery.
