Christ on a bike but this is getting right on my tits now - give your threads a proper title rather than "Shall I kick........."

I'm getting fed up of opening threads only to find it about some bollicky subject I've got no interest in or no experience to offer advice!

AIBU?

Nope YANBU. It irritates me too!

I get really annoyed at a similar thing, on facebook status updates, where someone gives a little emotional taster and you get all excited then find out that either it's nothing interesting at all or worse, they never come back to say what it was, in the first place!

I'm very aware that my reaction is disproportionate to the 'crime' and also that I probably need more real-life, not online, communication but all the same, I do instinctively find that on FB at least (am quite new to MN), it's always the same people who regularly do the 'emotional taster' and I think there at least, it's for attention.

On MN, I am sure that is not necessarily the case as the calibre of posters here is possibly higher than on FB (haha what a reflection of my FB 'friends'!!)

YABU. Because you really shouldn't sweat the small stuff. And this stuff is microscopic.

LadyFannyofBumStreet · 27/01/2011 05:40

YANBU - Especially since said thread is almost always a massive let down.

BootyMum · 27/01/2011 10:05

Yes, YANBU. Time wasting and irritating!!!

The times I've wondered if post is relevant to my interest or experience and then to be let down... I want to know roughly what post is about before I click!
