my best friend is black. she changes her hair style almost every month and always manages to look fab.

wouldn't you like to change your hairstyle whenever you felt like!

You mean envious of a woman, not all women.

Does Alesha Dixon wear a wig/weave/extensions?

JamieLeeCurtis · 26/01/2011 17:26

I imagine it's expensive and time-consuming. But fab to look at, yes

ILoveItWhenYouCallMeBoo · 26/01/2011 17:29

erm, beef why cant you change your hairstyle all the time?

wigs and weaves are available to all people, not just black people.

Never mind the hair - majority of my friends who are black have the most beautiful smooth skin, and as a result look 20 years younger than they are (and that includes the fellas..)

Bogeyface · 26/01/2011 19:22

Emmanana, according to DH "Black dont crack" which is why he doesnt have any lines! He does however have grey hair much to his annoyance!

I'm around the same weight as my best friend (Ahem, good few stone too much!) If we go out in the summer, wearing bright tops she looks like a trendy college student, I look like the sallow over 40 that I am!
You can't see her bingo wings - mine stand out like a washerwomans .boo hoo!
But she says she'd kill for my hair( natural straight blonde).
The grass is always greener Smile

When I lived in Nigeria I spent a lot of time having extensions put in and my hair woven (I'm white btw). I loved the way it looked and it was v. low maintenance when in, but to hours to do/undo. V. common sight in the village to see a woman with hair hidden under a scarf cause half-woven and no time to finish it.

Now back in the UK I occasionally have it woven for reasons of nostalgia but I would never be able to find either time or money to have it done regularly.

Kerry, you seem to be confusing despair with hate. Black women might complain about how much effort it goes into maintaining, managing or styling their hair but it does not mean they hate it. Young Black girls are especially vocal about this, but soon grow out of it.

There is no reason why Caucasian women cannot change their hair colour/length with weaves, unless you cannot afford it. And most of them cannot.

Kim Kardashian and her sisters all wear weaves but deny it.

Not that jealous of their hair, but v jealous of how even when they are fat, they still look firm and don't get really bad cellulite.
