Over-familiar Postman. Was I right to say something about it?

Our postman has always been friendly. Helpful friendly and also possibly a bit 'friendly'. Just a bit flirtatious in manner, slightly intense looks etc.

THe other day he gave me a packet that was too large for the letter box, then went back to his trolley on the pavement. The door was open and as I bent down to pick up the post that was on the mat, I distinctly heard him say 'Phwoar'. I glanced up and he was looking at me and smiling as he headed off.

I saw him this morning and raised it with him - polite but firm. He denied it and said that he was very offended that he had been accused of something.

I feel a bit ridiculous now, plus also a bit worried that we will never get another parcel again...

Was I right to tackle it ?

TBH, I don't think I would have bothered with raising it with him. You said yourself you were 'fairly sure it wasn't anyone else', which leaves room for doubt and you could have been wrong. I probably would have blushed and thought no more about it, other than to have a giggle at the cheek!

I am feeling cheated.

Mine delivers the wrong post, throws parcels on the doorstep and never smiles.

Well I for one think you should have offered him a coffee and something sweet for his interest Wink. But then I am a desperate housewife and would be over the moon to have a bit of attention - my postie doesn't even look up Envy

I go all unneccesary watching my neighbours window cleaner - he is sex on a stick, much better looking than mine.

Is it wrong to perve appreciate the neighbours staff?

come on, why didnt you just take it as a compliment. i bet he never meant for you to hear and he obviously finds you attractive. I would love a female to wistle or oggle me once in a while.

oh dear I think YABu and over reacted a bit. Its hardly like he grabbed you for a quick grope while handing over your post.
He said phwoar, I would take it as compliment and smile sweetly.
