AIBU to want to adorn my 1yr old DD in utterly useless hair clips?

Just been in M&S and have notice their assortment of hairbands, clips etc for little girls.

In the past I thought it was silly and pretty pointless. But now im tempted. I tried a little butterfly hairband on her and her face lit up (was most likely a reaction from mine, but hey ho!)

She does have a small tuft of hair at the front so I could possibly justify my reasons?

No?

Im being silly arnt I? Can someone sensible come and talk me out of it please.

She'll rip them off after 3 1/2 minutes and they'll end up being eaten by the dog wont they?

OK Ive uploaded a photo of DD and her tuft of hair just to show that she wouldnt look like a demented easter egg (that would make a good Easter name BTW!) or that she certainly hasnt got enough for the dreaded Croyden facelift tight ponytail thing.

(please ignore picture quality and the doctoring as it was taken by DS on his kiddizoom!)

I second the request for seeing pic of Stressheaderics DD!

My goodness, what shiny lustrous hair. Both of your babies are gorgeous ? thanks for posting.

Ah just do it.

DD was bald on the back and sides but her fringe was really long and I didn't want to cut it so she has always had an assortment of hair bands, bobbles and clips.

And yes, sometimes I did brush her hair to the side and yes I did do the pineapple thing but I always used Monsoon bobbles therefore it doesn't count [fingers in ears at suggestions this is a bad look] Grin

Stress I can't believe you have a baby with more hair than I do!!

She has been mentioned round here as 'the hairy baby' though so maybe someone else would like that name....Grin

Thanks all. It usually has food/milk/puke stuck to it by the end of every day but I still love it. She is also often referred to as the hairy baby, the eskimo, Rapunzel etc :-)

Oh yes, when she was younger she was very pukey, her hair was always yucky by the end of the day!
