You can hide whatever threads you want and for whatever reasons but imo YABU for making a song and dance about it by creating a thread. You can spell and have good grammer, others can't. Aren't you grrreat. And yes, I probably have PMT too!

MsKLo · 23/01/2011 19:01

Blimey

Some people on here are really snotty about grammar and literacy - chillaxxxxxxx! I sometimes write very quickly from my phone and do not always write properly but that doesn't mean I can't and I often see typo's and things said a bit oddly but it never bothers me.

People need to stop being so judgey about these things

brightlightsandpromises · 23/01/2011 19:36

Oh for god sake! Another "look at me aren't i perfect" threads. You are literate - well done Hmm

Articulate · 23/01/2011 19:48

YABU. Just don't click on the thread Wink.

Btw, these threads are never a good idea. They can well end up with someone taking exception to your point of view, and from now on will point out every typo, missed comma and wrongly spelt word you type from now on (or until they forget about it!)

I speak from experience!!

toddlerwrangler · 23/01/2011 19:55

YABU - I can't STAND smart arse types who think they can police the internet through creating grammer and spelling paranoia amongst those of us who class world famine as a big deal, rather then typos.

TattyDevine · 23/01/2011 20:01

I dont see what the problem is even if it is dyslexia - if it annoys you, it annoys you.

If it annoys you, hide it.

Just dont announce it, and done write a thread about it.

TattyDevine · 23/01/2011 20:02

Don't, not done

Then again, maybe I meant "dunt"

Grin

Dunt rite a fread about it, innit.

TheMonster · 23/01/2011 20:21

Tatty Grin

brightlights, I am far from perfect, believe me!

Bright- I'm not just literate. I am perfect.

brightlightsandpromises · 23/01/2011 20:27

Well done LoTM!! Grin

LadyOfTheManor · 23/01/2011 20:33

Thank you, thank you

KurriKurri · 23/01/2011 20:43

I was on the thread too, and OP seemed very sweet, I thought it was mean to criticise her spelling.

I have no idea why people are snotty about others level of literacy, especially when people are asking for help and advice. It's rude, and it's unkind. Being literate and grammatically correct is not the most important thing in life - there's usually a bigger picture to be seen.

TheMonster · 23/01/2011 20:50

I am a meanie.

OP posts:
KurriKurri · 23/01/2011 20:58

No you're not you fool, just don't do it again

(mean was a harsh word to use, sorry Blush)

LastGivenWord · 24/01/2011 00:26

Our college tutor draws a picture of a stupid monster on people's work when someone writes 'alot'

FreeBards · 24/01/2011 00:32

God, what a nest of vipers you all are here.

And starting threads about other threads? Isn't that just rude fulling fire?

Why not just log off if something pisses you off?

idgi.

FreeBards · 24/01/2011 00:32

OK, who's going to log OFF the internet when something pisses you off, I retract that. It's have the point.

Right?

Right.

Ho-hum.

FreeBards · 24/01/2011 00:33

*half.

gives up before OP comes back and stabs her with keyboard
