The Lush website was hacked and a lot of people I know have had their card details stolen and used. Apparently Lush has known about this for a while, but they haven't put out an official statement to the press to warn customers.

Lush is foul, I totally agree.

I think they shouldn't be allowed to have shops in covered shopping centres as the smell is so strong and so unpleasant.

Because they are over priced and over hyped. And this is from someone who has spent thousands with Lush over the years right from their very first year. Their formulae have gone down hill and they're trying to place themselves in the uber premium price bracket with high street products. I stopped spending money with them about four years ago. They're just not what they were, or as good as they were.

i agree the scent can be strong when you are getting a whiff of all the products at once but no worse than a burger bar in a covered shopping mall . at least Lush products contain natural ingredients. newly mown grass smells gorgeous but makes me sneeze like mad but it doesn't make it "foul".
If you haven't tried a "Buffy" bar, then you really must - your backside will thank you for it

I stopped shopping at Lush the day they gave £50,000 to a hunt saboteur's association.

I bet it does ... but sadly I cling to my excuses to pig out firmly believe my cellulite is beyond help. Bring on the burgers, say I.

Seriously, I'm quite worried for my friend buys loads of stuff from them. It's not good.

Just wondering if this could be linked to lush too. Over xmas we ordered from lush £100 worth. Anyway we had a bank statement recently and their were 4 unauthorised payments to a weird address in maidstone. In total they stole nearly £2000 from the account in 4 transactions between £400 and. £ 500. I did a lot of online ordering over xmas but it was from big companies like boots, amazon etc .

At the risk of sounding like a dumb American, what is a hunt saboteur's association?

Tyra - groups of people who go out after the hunt and try to stop or disrupt them. In this country hunting (usually foxes) with dogs, on horseback, was made illegal a while back. It's still legal to do drag hunts, or other things.

Hunt saboteurs have a bad reputation amongst some people (as do the hunt, obviously), because some people think the best way to disrupt a hunt is to be quite violent, basically. And so they get disapproval from some people who support other things lush stands for.

It is quite a thorny issue!
