As we don't drive. sorry just posting here for more replies! Blush Does anyone know if any of the south east (preferably) haven resorts are reasonably accessible by bus/train? Or at least which ones are totally isolated so are best avoided? We will have toddlers and DH will possibly be on crutches so don't want to be walking for miles along country lanes! The website isn't very informative... I'm easily confused... Any experience?

I've done it!! travelled from cumbria to blackpool, with 4 children and a heavily pregnant sister suffering with SPD.

We got our caravan upgraded thanks to the SPD Wink

I know it's not in the SE, but we went to Perran Sands in Cornwall by public transport - train to Truro and then bus right to the site - no problems at all!

We always travel by train to go on holiday as i don't drive. That's me and 4 DC!
Weymouth bay
Weymouth seaveiw
Weymouth little sea
All easy to get to by bus from close to station.

Haven Devon cliffs, Exmouth, also easy to get to as the bus station is right by the train station.

Also have been to a park holiday site in Dawlish which was within walking distance of train station (lots of other caravan sites around there too).

Wish we were going this year Sad.

Fantastic - we were thinking of either Weymouth bay or seaview, as we have looked at train fares etc, and apparently you get to use both resorts' facilities?

Is it easy to get between the two resorts?

Tortoise · 23/01/2011 20:15

Yes it is easy to get to both sites. Just a short walk (if you don't get lost like we did lol!).
