To find channel 4's teenage sex programme a little disturbing?

I'm a secondary teacher and so not nieve about these things, I know teenagers are often sexually active...hell if I'm going to be honest I was. But, some of them seemed so young and so ill informed (probably many think the teacher's fault) and just lacking in any care for themselves of their health. Their was something very adult about something aimed at teenagers, i.e tips on how to have sex and enjoy it as opposed to learning about emotions and safety. It's just that teenagers do range from 13-19! I don't know I am not a prude, but it just didn't sit right with me!

.... Is it just me thinking secondary school teacher who can't spell naive or use there/ their correctly?!

Nope, not just you. But then I have loads of social network 'friends' who are teachers (primary and secondary) who have the loosest grasp of grammar I've ever seen.

Another secondary teacher here who tuned in hoping to view a programme that would deal with many of the typical questions that teens have. Have yet to be quizzed on vajazzaling or the benefits of piercing (thankfully). Channel 4 have wasted a chance to explore a challenging and worthy issue, prefering to indulge in what I can only describe as "dirty old man in a mac" behaviour. From the channel that presents Hollyoaks, Skins, Shameless etc I find it somewhat disapointing that the connection they have with their young audience is not taken more seriously.

Didn't watch this one, but have seen a similar thing. Can't understand why safe sex talks for teens does not include abstinence as an option - I'm sure many sexually active teens would laugh at this BUT IT IS STILL AN OPTION!!!!
