To not want to leave DD for weekend

My DD is 4 months old and I have been invited on a hen weekend of a friend. An old friend, not a very close friend. It will be an entire weekend away and I am not keen to leave my DD. She will be just under 6 months at the time of the hen.

I don't BF and I have absolutely no doubts about the ability of my DH to look after her, but I just don't particularly want to leave her. Am I being unreasonable?

If I don't go, I will take my friend out for dinner instead

YANBU. DD is 10mo and I still have no desire to leave her for more than a couple of hours.

No you are not being unreasonable, if it is not a close friend you don't really need to go, I wouldn't.

Sarsaparilllla · 20/01/2011 15:21

If you don't want to go then don't, for whatever reason, you don't have to do anything you don't want to.

Going out for a meal instead sound like a nice plan.

YANBU - I understand completely. Don't go if you don't want to.

YANBU. I couldn't leave my dd2 last year and she was 2! I have no qualms about it this year though Grin

YANBU - I didn't spend a night apart from my pfb until she was well over 3yo
