my best friend is getting married in 7months and im a bridesmaid, i agreed before i got pregnant and had no idea how having baby changes things!
im already leaving dd (she will b 8months old)to go to stay with her for 5 days for dress fittin rehearsals etc and then again for the wedding 3weeks later (she lives in jersey and cant get same day flights).
i have always had VERY short hair, it suits me and its easy to control. before i had ds i agreed to grow it a bit but i have two big family occasions in the next 6weeks and my hair is a mess. i mentioned i was having it cut (just tidied not shaved or anything!!) and she flipped...am i being unreasonable to go ahead with the cut??

Blimey

How silly of her! No, yanbu
You are who you are and you should not have to change anything anyway!

Are you ok about leaving your little one or do you feel pressured?

God some people are mental! I'm getting married later this year and wouldn't dream of telling my bridesmaids what to do with their hair. Tell her you feel really uncomfortable and if she thinks you're too ugly to be her bridesmaid with short hair then to let you know! Some friend!

Gosh, I never heard of anything so ridiculous. Then I didn't have bridesmaids in the same dress, just gave them a colour scheme and let them wear what they wanted. To each his own... but trying to control bridesmaids hair seems really OTT. My sister had a very proper wedding and other than looking decent did not require hair to be any certain style.

spidookly i'm seriously considering taking my dp and baby and hiding them in a hotel near by just so they are near.

mel-i love the wig!!

the only thing i picked for her when she was my bridesmaid was the dress!!she has got me giant heels (because im about a foot shorter then the others) and has now emailed to ask me not to get too tan before the wedding because she will look pasty and ill. im fairly tanned anyway so not sure im going to able too avoid the sun (if we get any) for 2months of the summer.

on the upside at least my dress is nice. last time i was bridesmaid the dress was pee yellow with orange and green flowers Biscuit

My friend was forbidden to wear sandals like the other bridesmaids because according to the bride, her toes were too knobbly!
