..that someone is going to be homeless and you work for a team that (supposedly) is there to help homeless people. That maybe, just maybe, you should have made some effort to at least try and help before they are on the street?

And should be thoroughly fucking ashamed that you were dragging your feet even though you also know that the people involved have severe mental health problems (including a recent suicide attempt).

Thank fuck there are people out there willing to go out of their way, even if they can little afford to help, when the cunts who are paid to be helping can't be fucking arsed.

I was in a similar position last year with psychotic neighbours who had a hate campaign against me. It went on for nearly a year. When my tenancy was up for renewal my family wouldn't sign as a guarantor and I had no money for a deposit etc for somewhere else.

In the end the police wrote to the council (after I put in an application) telling them it was unsafe for me to live in my home and they put me to the very top of the council lists without me needing to go homeless at all. I turned down 2 places and moved into the 3rd.

If I had moved out of the first house I wouldn't have had the help from the police, did you not ask them?

Good luck

Sorry StrawberryTot, reading it back i see that's not what you meant. It was just the fact that I've been told so many times that we aren't trying hard enough (DH's family in particular do this) even though we've been trying everything we can think of.

The police cant get involved purpleflower, unfortunately it get's treated as a civil disagreement (I think that's what it's called?) as it's our landlord.

Ididn't even expect somewhere to live, just someone to respond and update us would be great. Not knowing where you are going to be sleeping the next night is horrific. Instead we've only heard silence back :(

I'm sorry for your situation.

I know it is not what you want to hear, but the people who are working in the homeless prevention team are probably far from cunts as you describe them. They are making horrendous decisions every day about where to use the little money/housing there now is to help who ever they can. I'd be very surprised if they went into a job like that to sit back and go 'well I can't be arsed to do anything, what a shame they have nowhere to live, boo hoo.'

If there are serious mental health issues, have you tried talking to the CPN involved?

I'm sorry :( mine had violence and criminal damage involved, It was hell and my children witnessed nearly all of it Angry

I hope you manage to get somewhere sorted out.
